Gotta love it...

Day 7

This was the letter Gracie wrote me after getting in trouble after I picked them up from school. She is the reason I want a perpetual 5-year-old! She cracks me up and is such a sweetie! What doesn't crack me up is the sibling rivalry between her and Josiah. It drives me NUTS!! And today I about lost it! I felt bad about getting on to them and making them stand on the "conversation squares" (a marked area where they are supposed to stand until they have resolved their confict) because today is Josiah's birthday. But...I did it anyway! And about 20 minutes later Josiah was in the room hugging on me and Gracie brought me this letter which I thought was funny! To be in kindergarten I think she's doing GREAT with her writing and her spelling! I just think it's so funny how kids want so hard to please you and after thinking that they made me mad they desperately wanted to make up for it. But anyhoo...I want a five-year-old! My parents are almost here for the weekend so I better go get the banana bread out of the oven (MMMmmm)!!!!

It's a....

Day 6

Andy and Kari found out that they are having a BOY today!!! James Andrew Hatley II. (will go by James) is healthy and due April 1st! I can't wait to meet him and spoil him and his big (well, still kinda tiny) sister rotten! I'm SO happy for them and I think they are quite thrilled as well!

We just got back from dinner with Greg's boss and his wife. They are an exceptionally sweet couple and we had a good time listening to their words of wisdom on marriage and after 38 years of marriage, they had quite a bit! Part of our assignment for N-Weds for this week was to meet with a mentor couple who we felt like set a Christian example in what marriage should look like. Greg and I discussed how blessed we've been by having such awesome examples set by our parents. We really feel like one of the best benefactors for our marriage is that we both grew up in homes with loving and in-love parents, which is a rarity these days, sadly! I really hope that we can mirror those examples in the future for our own kids to see! Well...I'm off to work on some more HW...presentation is tomorrow and I have yet to decide what I will say...typical =) Speaking of which, I registered for classes today! I am NOT looking forward to next semester! Six classes and still working around 35 hours a week...wish me luck!!!

More to come...

Day 3

Last week I got the pictures from Bill Hunicke that he took at the wedding. He offered to do some shots on the side for us at the rehearsal dinner and reception. We are SO pleased with all of them!! We now have an exceptional mix of pictures from both photographers and are so thankful for that! I can't wait to get my album so I can see the finished product!! Due to a LOOOOONG day of work, then school, then work...I am SUPER tired and not in a blogging mood SO...here are a few pics, in no particular order and I know there are not many...I am going to bed...these are only a few I have edited (besides the one of KA, I just thought it was cute) enjoy =)

Busy Sunday...

DAY 2 (NaBloPoMo)

Today was one busy day! It started with a morning at church, followed by going to the Joneses' for a yummy lunch! We had a great time eating with everybody and having time to talk considering we really haven't in the past month or so with all the wedding stuff. Katie Anne had on a SUPER cute dress that of course made me want to sew even more! I also looked at all of the digital scrapbooks Katie has finished and I have decided that that is my next project to pursue after sewing (because I will NEVER get a wedding scrapbook done otherwise)! We also had fun looking at some new pics taken at the wedding (which will be posted soon)! After lunch we rushed home to do our weekly devotional and to make spaghetti sauce and then headed to N-weds =) We had another WONDERFUL meeting and it was awesome coming back as a married couple and to have everyone clap and congratulate us as soon as we walked in the door! We just love it! There were some lows of the day as well that I am praying for, but it just reminds me that God has a plan for everything and He is control and all I can do is pray! But anyhoo, here are some pics from this afternoon at lunch (there aren't very many)...

The Newlyweds

Katie Anne kept this smile on the ENTIRE time the cameras were out...Hmmm wonder where she got that =)

And last but not least...the award winning pumpkin =)

Get ready for...

NaBloPoMo 2008! Apparently Novemeber is the National Blog Posting Month and you are supposed to blog every single day of November. I will try it but who knows if I will be able to keep up with it! And I don't have that much to talk about without any kids...but I am with kids every day so I guess I always have some material =)

Last night we had lots of trick-or-treaters and it was tons of fun seeing all of the little ones dressed up and excited about candy! We even had one little girl who was probably 3 just walk right in the house and look around haha...it was cute! We had Jackson in his Halloween costume which all of the kids LOVED! He was SOOOO good with letting everyone pet him (and EVERYONE wanted to...who wouldn't?)! We were also glad for it to be over so we could throw our pumpkin treat bowl away...because it smelled TERRIBLE! I am now ready to start decorating and baking for ThAnKsGiViNg!!! And OF COURSE Christmas!!! I went to bed last night thinking about how I wanted to decorate our first tree haha! Well, we are about to go keep Karis! We are going to run some errands with her and then go out to dinner so wish us luck =)
