It's a tradition that we spend Christmas night at Greg's parents house, however this year we had to move it up a few hours because of the wintry weather. We had a beautiful white Christmas! When the snow started picking up and started to stick, we worried about being able to get back home, so we left early. We're glad we did this because the roads were not good coming home and we came about an inch from sliding into a jeep beside us at a red light! We had a wonderful night with everyone. Cindy made some delicious potato soup, all the makings for sandwiches, and tons of sweet snacks to munch on! After a yummy meal, it was time for presents! I really enjoy going around one by one to open a present, because I enjoy getting to see what everyone else got. It took quite a while because we all had so many gifts! We are certainly blessed beyond measure between both of our families! Greg and I both go so many wonderful things. I got cute Croc dress shoes and Jenga from Katie and Saunders, several shirts/pullovers, a Vera Bradley wallet, tupperware, Glee season 1, a steam mop and much more from Cindy and Thomas! Greg for a ton of camping stuff like the straps for his hammock from Katie and Saunders, his new backpack, a fire starter, Jetboil Flash, first aid kit, shirts, and lots more. It was so much fun opening gifts, but a ton of fun watching Katie Anne open her gifts and seeing SJ on his first Christmas. Kids just make Christmas so much more joyful and exciting! After the gifts, we went out to take some pictures in the winter wonderland outside. It was so beautiful. It was an excellent night and we love and appreciate all of our wonderful gifts from everyone!
