Late Night Date Night...
***Pics taken with iPhone...my camera ran out of battery***
Last night I took Greg out for a late night date night to Fork & Screen in Buckhead to watch the UFC fight. We had a really fun time and were so glad to have a night out together! Greg loves to watch these fights, and usually we meet up with friends to watch them, but I saw this online and knew that he would love it! And let me tell ya...THIS is the way to watch a fight! It was such a cool place! It's a regular movie theater, except you sit at tables in reclining leather chairs and you push a little button and a server comes to your table in the middle of the movie/show and brings you your food/drinks! Soo cool! We are so glad we live so close to the city and can do such neat things! What a fun date!

Friday Confessions...
Here we go...
1) I'm lazy. Last week I did SOOO good with walking/running every morning before school...this week I have enjoyed the extra 30 minutes of sleep =)
2) I literally made an extra stop at the gas station JUST for a candy bar. That's fat. BUUUT I NEEDED some chocolate. And yes, I did complain to Greg later about how much weight I've gained...but I enjoyed the Zero bar first =)
3) I'm too tired to write anything clever. Lame.

Saturday confessons...
Because I missed the Friday Confessions deadline...here are my Saturday Confessions from the week...
1) I am keeping an online countdown calendar of my days left in Student Teaching...that should tell you how my first week went.
2) I've procrastinated on getting my lessons written for next week...and I have zero plans of getting them done today- that's what tomorrow is for.
3) I was glad to have small group at a restaurant this week because 1) it kept me from having to cook and 2) it kept me from having to clean (although I do love hosting, I was just not in the mood to cook or clean this week)...which I am also putting off until tomorrow.
4) I've realized second grade is not the grade for me. There are several reasons for feeling this way. And I know what you're thinking "It's only your first week, you'll end up loving it!" or "You want to teach Pre-K and you don't like second grade?!" or "Wow, what a crappy teacher you must be to not like second grade, a true teacher loves all ages and grade levels"....and to each statement I say "Think what you will, second is not for me and you can teach whatever grade you want.".........I also realize that I will probably end up teaching 2nd grade.
Anyhoo...I'm going to go laze around some more and think about ways to fill my time instead of getting done what actually needs to get done! Have a great Saturday!

Yet another stolen post...

Once again, Erin as put something cute on her blog that I wanted to "borrow" =) So here is my stolen post !
{one} what website do you spend the most time on?
Gmail and Facebook are probably tied for first
{two} what's the furthest you've ever travelled?
Rome, Italy on our awesome honeymoon
{three} what's your guilty pleasure tv show?
There are so many. But probably the Bachelor/Bachelorette...it's really just a grown up "Real World" and I l.o.v.e. it!!!
{four} if you had to give up one favorite food, what would be the hardest?
Proably pasta. My name is Jillian, and I am a carboholic.
{five} if you could become any fictional character, who would you be?
Joanne from Rent...she has an EXCEPTIONAL voice and is one of the only characters that has money and does not have aids. It's a win win.
{six} what's your favorite season of the year?
Fall. Hands down. I got married in the Fall because it is simply the most beautiful time of the year and everything looks pretty and smells delicious. I can't wait for Fall to be here!
{seven} what's your biggest phobia?
HAH. Storms. I'm a total FREAK over them (and this is recent). It's really quite annoying! Especially living in Georgia in the Summer.
{eight} would you rather swim in a pool or the ocean?
No question...the pool. Things can't bite your legs off and eat you in the pool.
{nine} what did you eat for breakfast today?
Some leftover monkey bread...it was on it's last leg, so I had to finish her up! (that extra jiggle in my thighs will make me regret my breakfast of champions later)
{ten} if you could only listen to one song for the next month, which song would it be?
"Hallelujah" by The Canadian Tenors...it's gorgeous.
What did I do...

...to deserve such an awesome husband?! I'm not sure either, but he is incredible! Today he surprised me with a certificate for a 90 minute massage and choice of 3 spa treatments! I am PUMPED!!!! I have an unexpected day off on Monday and you better believe my booty will be relaxing on the massage table! I can't wait!! Yes. He is awesome!

Slumber Party...
| Personalize your own slideshow |
This weekend we had an absolute blast keeping the girls overnight! Our fun started early with a morning at the pool (no pics because I forgot my camera), then we had a picnic lunch and headed back to the house for naps. After naps and some more play time, we all packed up and went to Chick-fil-a for dinner and then went to our house for a movie night! We made chocolate chip cookies from scratch and snuggled up on the couch to watch Finding Nemo. After the movie, we read a few bedtime stories and got all tucked in! It was a fantastic, busy day and the girls were exhausted (and so were we)! Laurel and I woke up early to make a special breakfast...monkey bread! Yes...cookies and monkey bread within a day of each other...I figured it'd be ok to sugar them up just this once =) After a yummy breakfast the girls and I left Greg at home while we went to play at the park for a while. We headed back to the girls' house before it got too hot and spent the day playing until their parents came home. It was SOOO much fun getting to have a slumber party with the girls! I'm SO very glad Greg got to spend so much time with us and see what fun they are! We had a blast and hope we get asked to keep them again next time the parents are out of town!
