Fun Friday...

Friday night our small group rented a pontoon boat on Allatoona for the evening. We had such a blast together! We cruised around the lake a stopped to eat our dinner, then went a bit further out to all jump in for a swim! It always take me a while to get used to lake water (it's gross and you can't see the bottom), but the water felt nice and I was having too much fun with everyone to be too anxious! After we had all turned to prunes, we hopped back in the boat for a sunset cruise around the lake, then headed back to the dock. Afterwards, we all went to Sonic for a late night treat =) We love these guys so much and are SO happy to be in this group of wonderful people!

Disney Vacation...

Last Sunday we left for an incredible Disney vacation with our good friends Jillian and Tyler. They both used to work there during a college program, and Tyler still receives awesome benefits from them...such as free tickets to the parks, 35% off meals and merchandise, discounts off resort rooms and more! It was awesome! This will certainly be a Disney trip like none other we will ever take! We got to sit VIP (front row) for the Lion King show, get in free everyday we went to the park (which we calculated saving us around $600 JUST IN PARK TICKETS!), and we got to stay in a Disney resort for basically nothing! Greg had not been to Disney World since he was very young, so he really didn't remember very much, so it was so neat showing him everything and getting to experience everything for basically the first time! We loved riding all of the rides and walking around together, however, it.was.HOT. Like....hotter than I've probably ever been in my life! I kept seeing all these parents carrying around kids and I thought to myself, NO WAY, would I be able to carry a kid around in this heat! Despite the heat, was such a fun trip!! We loved every second are so very glad we got to go! We both agreed that taking a young child would really be no fun for anyone, so it will probably be a while before we go back, but I do look forward to one day taking our kids there for a fun family vacation (like...years from now...I'm talking, we have a 5 and 8 year old lol)! Spending the week with Jill and Tyler was awesome and I am so very glad that they invited us to come! We had such a wonderful time!! Thanks Jill and Tyler =)

This past week was spent having some fun in the sun at Rosemary Beach, Fl. For the past few years, we have taken a beach trip with Greg's family and this was our second one spent in Rosemary Beach. Usually we head down on Wednesday's when Greg gets on work and stay until Saturday, but this time we were able to go during the beginning of the trip and come home on Wednesday, which gave us an extra day and a half! We had such a wonderful time laying out, playing golf, going swimming, trying out new restaurants, and just spending time with everyone. Each year has been so different with KA, and this one was certainly a blast! We loved playing with her and listening to her goofy stories! We had such a great time and are sad we had to leave early, but Greg had to go back to work for a few days before we turn around and leave again for Disney! It's a busy July for sure, but definitely a fun one!

Gene's Retirement...

A couple of weeks ago Greg's boss, Gene, put in for his retirement. Gene has been an incredible friend and mentor to Greg in both his professional and personal life, and he is very sad to see him go! Last night the remaining I.T. group took him out to Ted's Montana Grill for a celebratory dinner. Gene will be greatly missed at work, but I am sure we will always keep in touch with him and his wife!

A little behind...

Birthday Boy

On Wednesday, this handsome devil turned 4! They just got haircuts yesterday, so I wanted to wait to take a birthday pic when he was clean...mainly because I was so ashamed at how dirty they were earlier this week (gimme a break...it rains every day, plus I wanted their hair as short as possible before we take them to the beach). Anyway, he is too cute and we love him bunches! Happy birthday Jackson!!!

Saturday we celebrated Katie's 29th birthday by going to dinner at Maggiano's, then heading back to the Jones house for cake, ice cream, and presents. Dinner was so good! Greg got the Rigatoni D and I ordered the Lobster Fettucine...so yummy =) Katie's birthday cake was FANTASTIC! I usually am not a fan of fruit fillings in cake, but this was sooo good! Katie got a lot of great gifts like new stationary, CD's and an itunes card, a new book and lapdesk, new silver earrings, and best of all...My Little Pony Stickers from Katie Anne. She said she picked them out for her so that they could share...so cute! Before the cake was cut, Cindy decorated the table with beach themed trinkets, so we all had a fun time playing with our toys and wearing our shades =) It was a great time and I hope Katie had a wonderful birthday!!
